Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser is compatible with most foliar application methods such as the various turbo fan types. Sprays vary from 2-4 L/ha. The ratio of Kelpak to water needs to be increased to maintain a 1:300 dilution when volumes above 1000 L/ha are used.
Applying Kelpak
Liquid Fertilisers
EASY TO APPLY WITH MOST STANDARD APPLICATION METHODS
Kelpak’s efficiency as a cost effective agricultural fertiliser has been scientifically proven internationally in numerous research programs under differing climatic conditions and on a wide variety of crops. This natural product has a broad application base, is easy to apply and is compatible with most crop protection chemicals and foliar feeds. View application rates and timing below:
-
Turbo Mist Spray
-
Electrostatic Sprayer
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser can be used in electrostatic sprayers without causing clogging or blockages. Electrostatic sprayers are mostly used in table grapes at a rate of 4-5 L/ha, and applied in about 80-120 L water/ha.
-
Drip Irrigation
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser is applied using drip irrigation methods. Apply as pulse at the end of irrigation cycle and do not dilute more than 1:1000.
-
Aerial Application
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser can also be used in standard aerial applications. Standard rates for foliar application apply. Usually aerial sprays are applied in approximately 30 L/ha water.
-
Root Soak
Bare roots from trees or plants can be soaked in a Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser solution of 0.5-1% before plant out.
-
Soil Drench
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser can be applied as soil drench around the root base of trees and plants or seedbeds in a 0.5-1% solution.
-
Bunch Spray
In table grapes Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser foliar sprays can be substituted with directed bunch sprays at a 1% dilution.
-
Bunch Dip
In table grapes Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser foliar sprays can be substituted with a bunch dip at a 1% dilution.
-
Seed Treatment
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser is highly effective as a direct seed dip for coating before planting. Seed coating is recommended at a rate of 5 ml/kg of seed.
-
In Furrow Spray
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser can be used as an alternative to dipping, one can spray seed potaties with Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser at a rate of 1 L/ha directly in the furrow with planter equipment.
-
Seedling Tray Dip
Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser can be used as seedling tray dip. Immerse seedling tray in a 1% solution or apply as a light hand-watering.
